Frances Storrs,
MD
Frances J. Storrs, MD is a professor emerita of dermatology at the Oregon
Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland Oregon. She graduated
from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and from Cornell Medical
College in New York City. she trained in dermatology in Oregon with
Dr. Walter C. Lobitz and was encouraged by him and Dr. Raymond Suskind
to pursue the study of contact dermatitis.
She has directed
the contact dermatitis evaluation clinic and also cared for general
dermatology patients as a full time faculty member at OHSU for 36 years.
Though, partially retired she still attends both of these clinics. She
has spoken nationally and internationally and published many papers
concerned with studies in contact dermatitis. She is a member of the
North American Contact Dermatitis Group and has been active politically
in both the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the American Academy
of Dermatology. Her other dermatology interests have centered on medical
education. Family, garden, women's issues, and civic involvement have
given additional pleasure to her life.
